Within the scope of the “Introduction to Marketing Communication” course, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising students carried out a social responsibility project in coordination of Assist. Prof. Dr. Umut Ayman. During the event held with “Bir Milletin Doğuşu Anısına / In Memory of a Nation’s Rise” theme at EMU Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall, audiences had the opportunity to watch the film “Atatürk 1881–1919”, which portrays Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s journey from his childhood years to the outset of the National Struggle.
Organized in collaboration with EMU Atatürk Ideology Club (ADK) and Cinema Club, and sponsored by Oza Kahve, the event was carried out under the umbrella of EMU Community Involvement Center (CIC) by students Dilan Birer, Efe Can Yalçın, Nisa Nur Özdemir, and Ahmet Çelik.
Students organizing the event stated that they aim to preserve Atatürk’s principles, the values of the Republic, and the spirit of the National Struggle among young people, and that they will continue working to raise social awareness.
