In collaboration with Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) South Campus Psychological Guidance, Counselling and Research Center (PDRAM) and Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School, a seminar titled “Navigating University Life” was held for the students of Preparatory School. The seminar was conducted in two separate sessions, delivered by Halide Sarp, a Social Work Specialist at the South Campus PDRAM, in both English and Turkish.
The event, attended by a large number of participants, focused on helping new students adjust to university life. The program covered the stages and signs of culture shock and offered valuable guidance on managing challenging experiences that students may face during their transition to university. Participants were also introduced to support services and both on-campus and off-campus resources to ease their adaptation process.
During the Fall Semester, further activities aimed at supporting the adaptation of Preparatory School students will continue, based on their needs and requests.
