The book titled “Understanding Aggression: Insights from Psychology and Related Disciplines”, authored through the academic collaboration of faculty members from the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology, has been published by the international publishing house Nova Science Publishers. Addressing an important gap in the literature, the publication offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective shaped by contributions from Psychology as well as related fields such as Philosophy and Sociology.

Co-edited by EMU Psychology Department members Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayraktar and Prof. Dr. Şenel Hüsnü, the book includes original chapters from each faculty member within the department. Reflecting a strong spirit of academic collaboration and collective academic production, the publication presents a broad and multidimensional examination of aggression by bringing together perspectives from different branches of psychology alongside insights from related disciplines.

Prof. Dr. İlhan Raman, Head of EMU Department of Psychology, expressed that the book’s development through the shared efforts of the department’s academics reflects the productive and research-based vision of the Department of Psychology. In his remarks on the topic, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özarslan, Dean of the EMU Faculty of Arts and Sciences, stated that this internationally published work by faculty members of the Department of Psychology clearly demonstrates the faculty’s scientific productivity and culture of academic collaboration.
