Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç paid a courtesy visit to Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye (TR).
The visit, attended by a delegation comprising university rectors and representatives of higher education institutions, provided a platform for exchanging views on a range of key issues, including the future of higher education, quality assurance in higher education, international university rankings, the role of artificial intelligence in education, and ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
Extending his gratitude to Cevdet Yılmaz for their warm hospitality, Prof. Dr. Kılıç stated: “The continued presence and steadfast support of our motherland, Türkiye, represent a tremendous source of strength for us. Together, we remain committed to working tirelessly to further elevate the international standing of higher education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), while enhancing its quality standards and global competitiveness through sustained collaboration and shared determination”.
The visit was regarded as a significant step toward strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the field of higher education and further advancing their shared vision for the future of the sector.
