Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) is preparing to bring together students from around the world in Northern Cyprus through its International Summer School Program to be held during the summer of 2026. Taking place in July and August 2026, the program aims to offer participants a well-rounded summer experience by combining academic instruction with a rich variety of social and cultural activities.
Coordinated by EMU Vice Rector for Promotion and Institutional Communication, Prof. Dr. Ali Öztüren, the EMU International Summer School Program will welcome participants under the age of 15 from 12 to 26 July 2026, while participants aged 15 and above will attend programs on the EMU campus from 2 to 16 August 2026.
Throughout the program, participants will receive three hours of English language instruction each day from experienced instructors. In addition to their academic studies, students will enjoy a rich social program featuring sports and artistic activities, singing and talent competitions, cultural excursions, and island tours, providing them with an engaging and educational summer experience. Throughout the International Summer School, participants will also have full access to EMU’s modern sports facilities and beach club.
In addition to students from around the world, the EMU International Summer School is also open to citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and the Republic of Türkiye. Participants from the TRNC may, if they wish, take advantage of full-board accommodation in the University’s dormitories. Those who choose not to use the accommodation option may participate solely in the English language classes and social activities.
Bringing together young people from diverse cultural backgrounds on the same campus, the EMU International Summer School will offer participants the opportunity to improve their English language skills, build international friendships, and gain unforgettable experiences, while also enabling them to discover the natural and cultural richness of Northern Cyprus.
