Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture organized a special event within the scope of the 2025 World Interiors Day. Held as part of the EMU Design Week activities, the workshop titled “Yapay Zeka Hissedebilir mi? / Can Artificial Intelligence (AI) Feel?” attracted great interest from the students.
Organized in line with the 2025 theme of “Emotive Design, Experience and AI” set by the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers, the workshop approached the creative role of AI on interior design. Participants engaged in discussions about incorporating emotions into spatial design and also experienced the use of AI-assisted design technologies.
The said event took place in guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afet Çeliker Coşkun – the Chair of EMU Department of Interior Architecture, Vice Chair of the Department of Interior Architecture Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahenk Yılgın Damgacı and Department of Interior Architecture academic staff member Assist. Prof. Dr. Eliz Erdenizci.
EMU Department of Interior Architecture continues to engage its students with current design trends and aims to cultivate global awareness through these types of activities.
