Initiated within the scope of the collaboration protocol signed between the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of National Education, the “Philosophy Teaching Group Certificate Program” to be offered for TRNC citizen students under the roof of EMU Faculty of Education commence admitting students as of 2024 – 2025 Academic Year Spring Semester.
Those who hold the title of Philosophy Group Teacher are primarily responsible for effectively teaching philosophy-related subjects in the educational institutions they work for. This field aims to equip students with a solid understanding of key philosophical disciplines such as philosophy, logic, ethics, and aesthetics. These teachers are tasked with delivering philosophy, sociology, and logic lessons in their respective institutions. Graduates have various career opportunities within the education sector, working at different levels. Beyond teaching in public or private schools, they can also engage in non-governmental organizations, contribute to television, radio, newspapers, or digital platforms by hosting philosophy programs, writing opinion pieces, or reviewing books.
