Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and German-based Buddenhagen & Söhne Installation GmbH & Co. signed a job-assured collaboration protocol. The protocol was signed on Monday, 13 January 2025 at 04:00 p.m. during a signing ceremony held at the EMU Rector’s Office building where EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç and Company Director Frank Buddenhagen signed the protocol.

Present during the signing ceremony were EMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Osman M. Karatepe, EMU Acting General Secretary Derviş Ekşici, Faculty of Communication Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Department Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Fırat Tüzünkan, Faculty of Engineering academic staff member and Board of Trustees (VYK) Consultant Assoc. Prof. Dr. Davut Solyalı, Rector’s Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik and representatives of the relevant company.

With the signed protocol, it is aimed to offer job opportunities in Germany to EMU students or graduates who meet the qualifications for the specified profession outlined in the contract.

Job Guarantee in Germany

Making remarking during the signing ceremony, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç noted that this was a very significant agreement and emphasized that it guarantees job opportunities for EMU students and graduates in Germany. Stressing that the protocol offers employment opportunities across a wide range of fields, including Health, Engineering, Communication, and Tourism, Prof. Dr. Kılıç noted that sector-specific connections will be strengthened through this collaboration. Prof. Dr. Kılıç concluded by wishing the agreement great success.

In his speech, Frank Buddenhagen, the Director of Buddenhagen & Söhne Installation GmbH & Co., wished for the protocol to be successful for both institutions. He highlighted the satisfaction of knowing that those who will work in Germany have received solid training and are ready for their future.
