Passing away 9 September 2024, Retired faculty member of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), School of Computing and Technology (SCT) Ahmet Köylüoğlu was bid farewell with a ceremony held at EMU SCT. Taking place on Tuesday, 10 September 2024 at 11:00 a.m., the said ceremony was attended by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, Vice Rectors, Deans, Department Heads, Academic personnel members, family, students and loved-ones of Köylüoğlu.
In the ceremony, Köylüoğlu’s son Halil Köylüoğlu, İsmail Zabitler on behalf of late academician’s students, EMU SCT Electrical and Electronics Technology Program vice Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Alper Doğanalp, Assistant Director of SCT Assist. Prof. Dr. Hasan Oylum and EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç delivered speeches, expressing condolences to all the loved-ones of late academic staff member. Following the speeches, academic staff member Köylüoğlu who had touched the lives of many students at the Electrical and Electronics Technology Program between 8 September 2000 and 12 July 2024 was bid farewell with applause.
