Physiotherapist Ebru Albayrak Seminar Held at EMU

Within the scope of the 12th International Career Days, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation hosted Physiotherapist Ebru Albayrak. Albayrak delivered a seminar titled “Duyu’lmak İstiyorum Yazarından Bir Kariyer Hikayesi” (A Career Story from the Author of ‘Duyu’lmak İstiyorum’). Physiotherapist Albayrak participated in the event held at the Champion Angels Amphitheater at the Faculty of Health Sciences via online connection. The seminar, which focused on Physiotherapist Albayrak’s professional life and achievements, attracted great interest from the students and academics of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

A successful physiotherapist, sensory integration therapist, author, and educator, Physiotherapist Ebru Albayrak has made significant contributions to the field of sensory integration after completing her undergraduate education in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She is the author of some of the first Turkish books on sensory integration, including “Duyu’lmak İstiyorum”, “Duyusal Beyin 1; Temel Duyu Bütünleme Aktiviteleri”, “Duyusal Beyin 2; Duygusal Farkındalığı ve Dayanıklılığı Geliştirme Aktiviteleri”, and “Duyusal Beyin 3; Algısal ve Davranışsal Becerileri Geliştirme Aktiviteleri”. Ebru Albayrak completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Çapa Medical Faculty, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, and her Sensory Integration Therapy (‘Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy’) training at the University of Southern California in the United States. She is the first specialist in Turkey to earn the “Ayres Sensory Integration” accreditation, which is required to practice sensory integration therapy worldwide.

Along with her 20 years of knowledge and experience in the profession, Physiotherapist Albayrak shared her experiences from her joint studies carried out in different countries such as England, Austria, South Africa and Jordan.
