The Chair of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Athletics Federation (KTAF) Ferhat Sakallı paid a courtesy visit to Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç on Tuesday, 12 November 2024. During the meeting, parties exchanged views on the renewal and modernization of the athletics track at the EMU Yasin Düşüner Stadium. Present at the said meeting were EMU Sports Affairs Coordinator Aydın Kayol and EMU Athletics Coordinator Hasan Maydon.
During the visit, there was an in-depth discussion on enhancing EMU’s sports infrastructure and boosting support for athletics. The meeting highlighted the specific plans to upgrade the athletics track to meet modern standards, with a commitment to promptly take the necessary steps for the project’s implementation. The visit ended with an exchange of gifts.
