Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Community Involvement Center (CIC) was represented at the 8th International Interdisciplinary Education Reflections Conference (ICIER-2026) and the International Congress on Holistic Development and Positive Education (C-HOPE-2026).
EMU Community Involvement Center Executive Board Member and Faculty of Education academic staff Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Yazgın participated as a guest speaker at “Social Sustainability Role of Universities” and “Universities of the Future: Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Holistic Development” panels organized within the scope of the said congresses. The panels, featuring invited speakers from various disciplines, focused on the role of universities in the context of sustainability.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Yazgın introduced the community-oriented initiatives carried out under the institutionalized and dynamic framework of the EMU Community Involvement Center to congress participants. The presentation provided information on projects implemented in different areas, including educational initiatives, social contribution projects, and advocacy-focused activities.
