Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture academic staff member Prof. Dr. Şebnem Hoşkara attended the 13th Architecture and Education Congress organized on 14-15 November 2025 in Istanbul and hosted by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. The 13th congress was held with “Architecture and Education in the Face of Disasters” theme.
As the Chairperson of the Architectural Accreditation Board (MİAK-MAK), Prof. Dr. Şebnem Hoşkara participated in various study groups over the course of preparation period, sharing current data on Architecture Programs MİAK-MAK accreditation processes with the participants of the event. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Hoşkara also participated in the ‘Architecture in the Face of Crises’ panel, where she shared her professional insights and experience.
8th Diploma Projects Exhibition was among the various event being held as part of the congress. The exhibition also featured the graduation project of Adil Kamal, the top student of EMU Faculty of Architecture in the 2024-2025 Spring Semester.
In her remarks, EMU Faculty of Architecture’s Dean Prof. Dr. Resmiye Alpar Atun stated; “Participation in activities that foster academic and professional growth is crucial for the EMU Faculty of Architecture, as it showcases the accomplishments of both our faculty and students. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Hoşkara’s contributions at the congress, along with our graduate Adil Kamal’s Diploma Project, exemplify our faculty’s dedication to excellence and innovation in architectural education”.
