EMU Department of Elementary Education Represented at the 9th International Early Childhood Education Congress

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education was represented at the 9th International Early Childhood Education Congress hosted by Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education. At the congress, EMU Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education academics Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Yazgın and Specialist Ayşe Kekilli delivered the presentation titled “Hatay’da Deprem Sonrası Okul Öncesi Çocuklara Yönelik Kapsayıcı Psikoeğitimsel Müdahale Etkinliklerinin Değerlendirilmesi / An Evaluation of Inclusive Psychoeducational Intervention Activities Implemented for Preschool Children in Hatay Following the Earthquake”, also acting as session chairs during the event.

International Early Childhood Education Congress

Biyearly organized International Early Childhood Education Congress is recognized as one of the most extensive scientific events in the field of early childhood education, bringing academics, researchers and executives together. Hosting nearly 1,000 participants this year, the congress featured approximately 586 presentations. Moreover, it was announced that the tenth congress will be hosted by Sivas Cumhuriyet University in two years.

The EMU Rector’s Office expressed its pleasure with the Department of Elementary Education within the Faculty of Education for contributing to the university’s scientific productivity through its academic work at both national and international levels. Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç noted that the department’s scholars enhance EMU’s prestige through the high-quality studies they conduct in their fields, and he congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Yazgın and Specialist Ayşe Kekilli for their involvement in the congress. He further highlighted that EMU will continue to advance its leadership in research, education, and community service in line with its commitment to academic excellence.
