Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Pharmacy’s Dean Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Ozan Gülcan successfully represented EMU at the “Advanced Engineered Biomaterials for Life Science Applications” congress held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Within the scope of the congress, Prof. Dr. Gülcan was selected as a founding member for the Research and Development (R&D) Center of Engineered Biomaterial Research Center (EBRC) launched at the University of Khazar.
Along with Azerbaijan, Iran and Türkiye, many European countries also attended the congress. Delivering s presentation titled “Engineering Urolithins”, Prof. Dr. Gülcan talked about his studies in the field bioengineering and life sciences. Throughout his visit to Baku, Prof. Dr. Gülcan highlighted the EMU and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), presenting the university’s scientific research and the resources available at the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy.
