Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management associate program graduate Halil Şahkın attracted great interest from audience with his performance at the O Ses Türkiye”, a popular music competition in Türkiye. Showcasing a great performance during the triple duello stage of the competition, Şahkın joined Hadise’s team.
Halil Şahkın, who graduated from EMU in 2000, has been performing on stage for over 25 years as a singer. Besides his artistic career, Şahkın is also employed at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He continues to pursue his career as a soloist at five-star hotels.
Halil Şahkın highlighted that EMU is more than just an educational institution; it is a university that equips its students with values that last a lifetime. Şahkın shared that his time at EMU not only enriched him with professional knowledge but also helped him develop self-confidence, vision, versatility, and cultural awareness. He credited his current success in both public service and stage performances to the quality of education and the strong social framework provided by EMU.
