Kübra Sapmaz Özkan, a 2004 graduate of EMU Faculty of Architecture, Interior Architecture Department, received the Tourism Design Award for her project ‘Best Themed Concept Hotel Sushi Club Restaurant.’ The award was granted following a three-stage evaluation at the International Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF25 Türkiye), one of the largest and most prestigious tourism events in Türkiye and the Mediterranean region.
The fair, held for the seventh time at the Antalya International Fair and Congress Center, brought together foreign travel agencies catering to Turkish and global markets, tour operators from Türkiye’s key source markets, internationally acclaimed hospitality facilities, and companies providing technology, services, and added value to the tourism sector. This year’s event also featured the presentation of the Tourism Design Awards. Kübra Sapmaz Özkan, founder and director of Mitos Proje Interior Design, realized her award-winning project at Delta Marriott Hotel Antalya in 2023 as a turnkey interior design implementation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afet Coşkun, Head of EMU Interior Architecture Department, stated that they take pride in their graduates’ accomplishments both nationally and internationally, and congratulated Interior Architect Kübra Sapmaz Özkan on receiving this prestigious award.
