The results of the 2025 External Transfer Exam (DGS), conducted by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) for Turkish nationals aiming to transfer from two-year to four-year programs, has been announced. According to the placements, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) was the most preferred university in Northern Cyprus, with 89 students securing a place. Of the 672 available quotas at universities in Northern Cyprus, 372 were filled, resulting in a 55% placement rate.
Making remarks on the topic, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç said: “EMU being listed as the most preferred higher education institution in the Northern Cyprus in accordance with the DGS results, made us proud. This achievement showcases EMU’s academic quality, strong faculty structure and its dedication in delivering education at international standards. We will continue to expand the opportunities we provide to help our students confidently prepare for the future. We welcome all new students and wish them a successful and rewarding academic experience”.
Registrations to continue until 17 September
Registrations through DGS will continue until 17 September 2025. Students will be able to complete their registrations by visiting EMU Registrar’s Office, Türkiye Liaison Offices of EMU or via https://kayit.emu.edu.tr web address.
Required documents for registration include a printed copy and four photocopies of the 2025 DGS placement results, the original associate degree diploma along with six photocopies, the original ID card or one photocopy, four passport-sized photos, the bank receipt confirming full payment or the first installment of the semester tuition fee to EMU’s account, and the original transcript.
