Prior to the new academic semester, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç received a visit from Fatma Yonca Akçadağ, the Director of Higher Education Credits and Dormitories Directorate (KYK) Hala Sultan Dormitory; Seyit Ahmet Serbest, the Director of KYK Necmettin Erbakan Dormitory, and Ömer Osman Demirbaş, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Youth and Sports Coordinator of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye.
EMU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Osman M. Karatepe and EMU Rector’s Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik were also present at the meeting. During the visit, it was emphasized that the strong collaboration and effective coordination established between EMU and KYK dormitories to date will continue successfully in the new term. It was noted that the efforts carried out to improve students’ accommodation, social, and cultural life serve as a model of exemplary cooperation and significantly enrich university life.
During the meeting, appreciation was expressed for the valuable support provided to EMU by the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Youth and Sports. It was also highlighted that future joint projects will contribute significantly to the academic and social development of the students.
The visit ended with the exchange of goodwill messages and best wishes for success in the upcoming academic semester.
