Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School (FLEPS) has been accredited by the Language Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (DEDAK), which is recognized by the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YÖKAK) as the national accreditation body for English language programs in Türkiye.
Through this accreditation, the educational quality offered by EMU Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School, together with its student services and academic facilities, has once again been verified as being in line with international standards. Prior to receiving this accreditation, EMU FLEPS had also earned accreditation from EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services), a non-profit international accreditation organization based in England and Wales.
In his remarks on the matter, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mutlu Kale, Director of EMU FLEPS, stated that the accreditation granted is an important reflection of the School’s long-standing commitment to quality-oriented education. Assist. Prof. Kale continued, “The accreditation granted by DEDAK in recognition of our efforts to provide students with education at international standards is a significant source of pride for us”.
Furthermore, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç also addressed the topic, emphasizing that the University places great importance on quality assurance and accreditation efforts. Prof. Dr. Kılıç also noted, “As EMU, delivering education that meets international standards remains one of our key priorities. The accreditation achieved by our Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School is a strong testament to both the quality of education offered by our University and its institutional vision.”
