The 27th Spring Festival, organized with the “Let’s Bloom” theme this year, commenced with a festival parade on Wednesday, 14 May 2025 at 05:30 p.m. from the Famagusta Development Center (MAGEM), ending at the university campus. EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Osman M. Karatepe, Prof. Dr. Sonuç Zorlu ad Prof. Dr. Ali Öztüren and many students attended the parade. Concluding at the festival area, the parade featured vibrant scenes filled with joy and celebration. Following the parade, an opening ceremony was held at the Festival Area.
Delivering a speech on behalf of EMU during the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Karatepe said; “I welcome you all to the 27th Spring Festival. Today and the following next four days are yours to enjoy. You deserve the best. Hopefully, we will celebrate the 27th Spring Festival in a joyful and lively atmosphere”.
Within the scope of the opening ceremony, EMU Search and Rescue Club (EMU-SAR) performed a High Line Descent show.
