The placement results of the 2026 External Transfer Examination (DGS), administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center of the Republic of Türkiye (ÖSYM) for candidates wishing to transfer from two-year associate degree programs to four-year undergraduate programs, have been announced. According to the results, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has enrolled the highest number of DGS students among universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
According to the 2026 DGS placement results, a total of 416 students were placed at universities in the TRNC, with 92 of these students choosing EMU and earning the right to enroll. As a result, EMU stood out as the university with the highest number of DGS placements among universities in the TRNC.

Stating that the 2026 DGS results reflect the confidence placed in EMU’s education quality and academic structure, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç added: “Having the highest number of students placed at EMU among universities in the TRNC in the DGS placement results is a great source of pride for us. This result is an important indication not only of the academic quality of our university, its wide range of programs, and the educational opportunities it offers to students, but also of the confidence placed in EMU.”
