Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Red Crescent Student Society operating under the EMU Student Development, Events and Sports Affairs Directorate held a blood donation campaign in collaboration with North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent. The 3-day campaign held with “Bonded by Heart” slogan at EMU Atatürk Square attracted great interest from students and personnel members. Total of 121 units of blood were donated as part of the campaign.
During the campaign, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, EMU Board of Trustees Member Beyhan Gürgöze, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Osman M. Karatepe, and Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Sonuç Zorlu visited the blood donation vehicle, highlighting the critical importance of blood donation for human life and expressing their gratitude to all donors.
Officials from the North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent expressed their pleasure in receiving EMU’s support, as in previous years, emphasizing that the campaign not only contributes to raising public awareness but also enhances understanding and preparedness in the fight against diseases.
