Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), İrfan Nadir Rehabilitation Center Cinema Days commenced. The İrfan Nadir Rehabilitation Center operating in Famagusta within the Department of Social Services affiliated to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ministry of Labour and Social Security commenced its Cinema Days under the auspices of EMU Faculty of Communication, Department of Cinema and Television. The first event of the series was held at the EMU Faculty of Communication at the end of July.
In her statement on the topic, İrfan Nadir Rehabilitation Center Supervisor Bahar Özergin Boğaç stressed the importance of socializing individuals with disabilities through various activities in different settings. Boğaç stated; “These events play a crucial role in enabling individuals with disabilities to engage more actively in social life and enhance their social skills. With this vision in mind, we have developed several additional projects and will continue to put them into action in the near future”.
Supervisor Boğaç conveyed the center’s thanks and appreciation to the Head of EMU Department of Cinema and Television Prof. Dr. Bahire Özad and the Dean of Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Metin Ersoy for their support and contributions within the framework of the events. Furthermore, Boğaç expressed that the collaborations are to continue, and that similar projects will be carried out in the future.
