EMU Academic Personnel Member Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayraktar Represents EMU at the 39th EFPSA Congress

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology academic staff member Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayraktar represented EMU at the 39th European Federation of Psychology Students’ Association (EFPSA) Congress at the invitation of EFPSA.

Leading a workshop titled “Revisiting Positive Illusions; Adaptive or Problematic!” at the said congress, Prof. Dr. Bayraktar stated that they have a joyful yet in-deep event with students from various European countries.

Providing information on the topics discussed during the workshop, Prof. Dr. Bayraktar said; “We examined how positive illusions, our tendency to view ourselves, our relationships, and our experiences in an optimistic light, can sometimes make life easier, while in other cases they might create risks. Beyond the scientific discussion, I also appreciate the significance of a Turkish Cypriot scholar being invited for a second time to a European conference representing Eastern Mediterranean University”.
