Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Health Sciences Faculty, Exercise and Sports Sciences Department student and national cyclist Emre Kaplan paid a visit to EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç. During the visit, Kaplan who is a member of the Turkish Cycling Federation National Team, briefed Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç on his experiences at the International Belgian Track Meeting, held in Ghent, Belgium, from 17 to 19 April 2026.
During the visit, discussions focused on Kaplan’s progress in his sporting career and the valuable experience he has gained through international competitions. The meeting also highlighted the pride and satisfaction derived from EMU students successfully representing both the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and the University on national and international platforms.
EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç expressed his pleasure at seeing Kaplan represent Türkiye at an international event as a member of the national team, highlighting the significance of his achievements. Prof. Dr. Kılıç wished Kaplan continued success in both his academic life and sporting career.
