Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has signed a significant colaboration protocol with Germany-based Sprachportal GmbH and FutureMind Education Center in order to expand the international career opportunities of its students and graduates. The protocol was signed by EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç, Sprachportal GmbH General Manager of Çetin Ak, and FutureMind Education Center Director Asım İdris.
Present during the signing session of the protocol were EMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Öztüren, EMU Foreign Relations Advisor Tayseer Al Shanableh, Sprachportal and Equivalency Applications Supervisor Kenan Demirci and Visa Applications Supervisor Sevda Titiz.
The signed protocol aims to facilitate easier access for EMU students and graduates to employment processes in Germany. It offers significant opportunities, particularly for those studying or graduating in fields such as Nursing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Medical Imaging Technology, Tourism Management, Gastronomy, and Preschool Education. Under the cooperation protocol, it is planned that candidates’ application, placement, and required official procedures will be carried out in a coordinated manner.
Making remarks during the signing session, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç stated that the parties had come together to initiate a robust agreement, emphasizing that it is well aligned with EMU’s strategic objectives. Noting that the protocol represents a significant step forward, Prof. Dr. Kılıç underlined its importance in providing opportunities for both current students and graduates, as well as in serving as a key milestone in supporting students in achieving their career goals. He concluded by extending his best wishes for the success of the protocol.
Speaking next, Asım İdris expressed his satisfaction with collaborating with EMU, one of the most well-established universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). İdris noted that programs offering job guarantees are always attractive, emphasizing that providing employment opportunities in Germany is particularly significant.
In his speech, Çetin Ak, General Manager of Sprachportal GmbH, spoke about the increasing demand for workforce in Germany in the coming period, highlighting the country’s growing need for qualified personnel. He added that he believes the signed protocol will be beneficial.
EMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Öztüren also made remarks, noting that they initiated the project with firm belief and highlighting that the protocol would be a significant step for both students and graduates. He expressed confidence that it would create a success story and extended his best wishes for the protocol. Following the signing session, EMU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Kılıç presented guests with gifts representing EMU and Cyprus.
